We assist people with developmental disabilities by: Providing individual residential supports - in homes, apartments and family settings. Respite Services MACL Family Respite Services provide screened and approved caregivers to families in support of their children (adult or child) with developmental disabilities. Each is encouraged to participate fully in household routines with staff offering dignified and respectful support as needed. Adult Home Support Services currently operates five licensed community homes, each providing staff support 24 hours per day. Individuals living in these homes have varying levels of need for assistance with activities of daily living. Family and Children Services Family and Children Services offers programs which promote and facilitate inclusive opportunities for children and youth. Working with government, community groups, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, service clubs and others who share our goals and objectives. We do this by: Planning with families and others who care about the people we support. Advocating for, and responding to, all related developmental disability issues. Supporting children in child care settings. Educating and supporting adults in consumer skills, volunteerism, employment preparation and placement, and social/recreation/leisure abilities. Respite provides up to 24 hour/day support to families referred by Community Living British Columbia (actual days per year determined by CLBC).
